SEVERE
WEATHER ALERT
Please be advised that during severe weather (defined by Smarty
Pets as 15 degrees F, or below, or in summer, 85 degrees F or
above with high humidity), Smarty Pets will be taking the following
precautions while walking your pet:

*  Short, quick walks, long enough to take care of "business"  :O),
but not the entire time normally taken.  Instead we will go back
inside for some quiet playtime.

*  No cats will be let out doors.   Even if your cat is an outdoor cat,
we will not let any outside, nor should they go out.  Even cats
normally used to outdoor life can become disoriented by severe
weather and not find their way home.

*  Extra care will be taken with paws and ears during cold weather.
Your walker will be examining them before and after walks to
ensure your pet is okay, and has not been injured by ice, salt or
cold.

THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP:

*  If your dog wears coats and/or booties, please leave them out so
we can find them.

*  In hot weather, if your dog has a thick or long coat, please
consider a "puppy cut" for him.  Check with your vet or grooming
shop for information.

*  Please leave doggy towels out (good idea at any time!), so we
don't accidentally grab a fine linen for Fido's feet and belly!

THANK YOU!
